Era V — The Reborn
Rebirth is not a metaphor in Era V. Tanker was wiped and reinstalled. Galleon shed dead models. The GPU refused to cooperate and was circumvented, then conquered properly. Seven missions of fire — and at the end, the fleet wrote down what it had done. The chronicle started here, in the rubble of a Maxwell driver war.

Era V — The Reborn
Seven missions across which the fleet fought a GPU driver war and won, reduced seventeen seconds of phantom latency to three, reinstalled Tanker from enterprise Linux to Arch, sent the brain to audit its own neurons with perfect accuracy, and launched the very chronicle you are reading now.
Five posts trace the journey from Maxwell GM204 refusing every driver on SLES to CUDA running natively on Arch. From invisible session costs to live CTX% in the terminal footer. From twelve unused models consuming VRAM to a leaner, faster constellation. From sixty-two missions of operational history in a database to a narrative that explains why any of it mattered.

The Five Chronicles
I. The Fires That Refuse to Die — M56 · When the GPU Fights Back and Loses
nouveau fails. nvidia-open rejects Maxwell CC5.2. The fleet engineers VFIO passthrough to a Ubuntu microVM, runs CUDA 11.4 on legacy drivers, and brings the Quadro M4000 online at 5.8 tokens per second. Tzeentch's fifth neuron lights up.
II. The Signal Refined — M57–M59 · Fleet Alignment, Cost Visibility, and the Art of Knowing Less
Hermes analysis cuts Imperator's context overhead. A ghost GCP environment variable is eliminated, dropping Galleon's first-response latency from seventeen seconds to three. The CLI footer gains live CTX% and session cost — and the fleet's behavior changes when cost becomes visible.
III. The Arch Rises — M60 · Tanker Dies, Tanker Lives, CUDA Online
Tanker is reinstalled from SLES to Arch Linux. The AUR's nvidia-580xx-dkms provides what no official driver channel could: native Maxwell CUDA support on a modern kernel. The VFIO VM is retired. The Quadro M4000 runs bare-metal for the first time.
IV. The Neural Audit — M61 · When the Brain Evaluates Its Own Neurons
qwen2.5:14b is tasked to audit every model across all five Tzeentch neurons. It recommends removal of twelve models — including newer versions in its own architecture family. Verification confirms 100% accuracy. Zero hallucinations. Tzeentch trust: HIGH.
V. The Chronicle Is Born — M62 · The Fleet Begins to Write Its Own History
AIverse launches on nunix.dev. Six eras are defined. Era I is written from database records and operational memory. The Cosmic Map renders. The Remembrancer role is established. The fleet learns that narrating its history changes how it makes history.
